A Chorus Within Her

A devised choreo-poem whose text included writing commissioned from Gabrielle Brant Freeman, Glenis Redmond, Christine Sloan Stoddard, Carmin Wong and writings by the cast: Kathleen Akerley, Siani Beckett, Jasmine Brooks, Ezinne Elele and Anna Shafer. The piece centered on women’s experiences during the pandemic and highlighted topics including ancestry, community, identity, racism, health, and survival. A Chorus Within Her was directed by Alina Collins Maldonado and choreographed by Tiffany Quinn at Theater Alliance.
